Medical Weight Loss at L.I.V.E. Wellness Medspa

At L.I.V.E. Wellness, medical weight loss is personal. We start with a conversation, review your health history and goals, and craft a plan that fits your life, not the other way around. Our approach blends physician supervision, smart nutrition, movement you can actually maintain, and, when appropriate, modern medications that support appetite control and metabolic health.

How modern weight loss medications help

Today’s most talked about options, GLP1 and GLP1/GIP, mimic natural gut hormones that help you feel satisfied sooner, reduce hunger between meals, slow gastric emptying, and improve insulin dynamics. That combination often makes it easier to stay in a sustainable calorie deficit while protecting energy and routine. It’s important to keep in mind that medication is a tool, not the whole toolbox. Simple meal prep habits, hydration, sleep, and consistent movement amplify results and make them stick. We’ll help you build a routine you can stick with.

GLP1 vs. GLP1/GIP, what’s the difference?

GLP-1 medicines work by mimicking a natural gut hormone that increases fullness, reduces appetite, and helps the body manage blood sugar, often by slowing digestion and improving insulin response when glucose is high. GLP-1/GIP medicines do all of that too, but add a second gut-hormone signal that can further amplify appetite control and metabolic effects—so on average they may lead to greater weight loss and great blood-sugar improvements for some people.

Both medicines are once weekly injections used alongside nutrition and activity plans, and your clinician will choose the best fit based on your history and goals.

We start at a low dose and increase slowly to minimize side effects. If you feel uncomfortable, we can slow down the dose increases, adjust meal timing, or raise protein intake. If symptoms persist, we’ll change the plan or switch medications.

Your program with L.I.V.E. Wellness would typically include:

  • Clinician consultation and baseline labs to personalize your plan.
  • Medication management with careful dose titration.
  • Nutrition guidance focused on protein, fiber, and realistic habits to protect lean mass and maintain a healthy metabolism.
  • Movement strategy that preserves lean mass and supports metabolism.
  • Ongoing check-ins to adjust your plan as your body adapts.

FAQs

How long will I need to stay on medication?
It depends. Some patients transition off after they reach goals and establish stable habits, others benefit from longer term support. We’ll map a plan that fits your health profile.

Will I lose muscle?
We program resistance training and protein targets to help maintain lean mass. This is especially important while appetite is reduced.

What if the scale stops moving?
Plateaus happen. We reassess dosing, nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress, then adjust systematically to restart progress.
